Refunds and a lost QR code

The short answer
If your eSIM is not delivered, or it cannot be made to work and the store cannot fix it, you get a full refund. A working eSIM is not refunded because plans changed. For anything order related, write to contact@baobabsim.com with your order link.

The promise in one line: if the eSIM is not delivered, or it cannot be made to work and the store cannot fix it, you get a full refund. Anything order related goes to contact@baobabsim.com, the store’s support.
A lost order page
The QR code lives on your order page, and the store emailed you the link right after payment. If you cannot find the email: write to the store’s support from the address you paid with, with the date of the payment. Never forward your QR code to anyone who asks for it by message.
A change of mind
A working eSIM is not refunded. Once the QR code has been shown, the purchase is complete, installed or not, because the code cannot be resold. That is also what the checkout asks you to confirm before you pay.
Before you buy
- Check your phone takes an eSIM: Check your phone.
- Read the store’s full policy: Refund policy.
- Understand the roaming bit: Data roaming. A regional plan needs data roaming on for the eSIM line, and that is not a defect.
Questions
What does the refund cover?
Two cases: the eSIM is not delivered, or it cannot be made to work and the store cannot fix it. In both cases you get a full refund.
I changed my mind. Can I still get a refund?
No. A working eSIM is not refunded for a change of mind, installed or not, because it cannot be resold.
I lost the order page with my QR code
Write to contact@baobabsim.com from the address you paid with, with the date of payment. The store can point you back to your order page. Treat anyone else asking for your code as a fraud.
My phone cannot install an eSIM. Is that a refund?
Check first with the other phone you have, if any. A phone that cannot install an eSIM is not covered by the refund promise, which is why the check-your-phone page exists before you buy.

Switch the eSIM on after landing
Land in Johannesburg or Cape Town and get online: choose the eSIM for mobile data, turn on data roaming for that line, and keep your own number for calls.
Data roaming in South Africa, explained
These plans roam, so data roaming on the eSIM line is what lets them connect. Switch it on there, and keep it off your home line.
The eSIM is not connecting
No data after landing in South Africa? Check data roaming, the data line setting and the network, in that order. What to try before writing to the store.
